End of the month: structurally short – how do we fix it?
At the end of the month our expenses are always very high. Every month we face the same challenge: how do we cover the feeding costs for 430+ dogs and 90+ cats?
We structurally need more than we receive. Donations and sponsorship are our lifeline. Without your support we cannot feed our animals, take them to the vet, or pay our staff.
Concrete costs (unit prices):
- 1 sack of rice (49 kg) = 690 baht
- 1 sack of dog dry food (20 kg) = 550 baht
- 1 sack of cat kibble (20 kg) = 720 baht
- 1 box of canned food = 800 baht
- Total dog food costs: ~72,000 baht per month
- Total cat food costs: ~15,000 baht per month (+ litter)
This is food only – for 430+ dogs and 90+ cats. On top of that: vet, medication, 12 staff, maintenance.
